It’s no secret, we love a little Helvetica on the side. It’s not that we don’t respect our long-standing relationships with Gotham, Garamond or Mr Hoefler. And hell knows any old Giza can download a Dingbat. But when it comes down to communicating a clear message, none of the latter makes as much sense as a solid line of Helvetica. You can’t snort at the fact - Helvetica is everywhere. Yet so simple that it is invisible. But so clinical that you’ll never miss an off ramp or a street name. In TypeFacia, our utopic principality on the border of Salt River and Woodstock, Cape Town, everything is perfect. And Helvetica is in the DNA.
